Large taxpayers completes e-invoicing system integration – FIRS

The Federal Inland Revenue Service, FIRS has disclosed that many large tax payers have completed their integration for live transmission of e-invoicing in accordance with deadline earlier given by the FIRS.

The FIRS has issued an extended November 1 deadline, according to a statement on Thursday by the Executive Chairman of the FIRS, Dr Zacch Adedeji, noting that there has been consistent progress from the initial 1st August, 2025.
He said, the commencement of the national e-invoicing and electronic fiscal system on August 1 has been smoothly and steadily progressing.

According to the statement, other tax taxpayers earlier captured are at the level of full integration, while service providers have also made known to the FIRS that they are engaging taxpayers to facilitate full adoption and transmission of invoices.

“The service commends the cooperation and commitment demonstrated by Large Taxpayers and service providers alike towards the successful rollout of the e-Invoicing regime.

“In light of the progress made so far, and as a follow-up to our previous communications, all Large Taxpayers who are yet to complete integration are hereby strongly urged to comply with the e-invoice mandate without further delay, in line with the provisions of the tax laws.”

Dr Adedeji promised regular engagement with tax payers and technical support in form of training to ensure hitch-free integration experience.
