After a long wait and at last, the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has expelled from party, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Chief Nyesom Wike, former governor of Ekiti State, Peter Ayo Fayose and the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Senator Sam Anyanwu.

They were expelled from party over their deep-neck involvement in rebellion and anti-party activities that has completely crippled the opposition PDP.

Their expulsion followed a motion moved by the former National Vice Chairman of the party, Chief Olabode George at the National Convention which commence on Friday through this weekend in Ibadan, capital of Oyo State.

The expulsion motion was seconded by Hon Samaila Burga, Chairman of the PDP in Bauchi before it was effected.

Wike recently took attack against the PDP to the next level recently, when he inaugurated his own faction in his official residence at Gwarimpa area of Abuja with Senator Mao Ohabunwa as chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT).

After their inauguration, the faction mounted legal fireworks to stop the scheduled national convention with judgment and counter judgments by the Nigerian Courts.

Prompted by one of the court judgment in his favour, Wike taunted: “Those interested in going to Ibadan should relax and have fun, describing the exercise as a “jamboree.”

According to him, Anyanwu had issued a circular, notifying members about the postponement of the convention.
