BREAKING: PDP retains, ratifies Damagun as National Chairman
The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has retained the acting National Chairman, Ambassador Umaru Damagum as substantive Chairman.
The development followed a unanimous resolution at the ongoing National Convention holding in Ibadan, capital of Oyo State.
The Chairman of Edo State chapter of the party, Hon. Tony Abineri moved the motion on behalf of the 3,000 delegates at the 2025 Elective PDP Convention taking place at the main bowl of Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan.
In line with Section 32 of the PDP constitution, Mr Edward Marshal seconded the motion, for Damagun to be retained.
Earlier, Abineri said: “I move the motion for the ratification of Ambassador Umaru Damagum as the substantive National Chairman of the party.
“This is in accordance with Section 32 of the Constitution of the PDP as amended.”
The Peoples Democratic Party on Saturday unanimously confirmed Ambassador Umaru Damagum as its National Chairman.
