Internally displaced politicians converges in ADC – Presidency

Until these days, the African Democratic Congress has been quiet in terms of political activities, but its adoption as the party of coalition has placed it in the midst of crossfire as the president on Wednesday described the party as a conclave of what it called “internally displaced politicians.”

Special Adviser to the President on Policy Communications, Daniel Bwala reacting to Coalition to unseat his principal in 2027 general election wrote on his X handle, saying the coalition is dead on arrival @BwalaDaniel, described the political realignment as “a dead on arrival party.”

“Association of wild goose chasers, consisting of internally displaced politicians forming a dead on arrival party; better described in the words of @PeterObi as ‘structure of criminality,’” Bwala wrote in his post.
He however did not name anyone, but may have meant those behind the coalition in his remarks.

ADC has been adopted as the party of coalition by some politicians who are hell bent on dethroning President Tinubuin 2027, notably the former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, former governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasiru El-Rufai, Peter Obi, the former presidential candidate of the Labour Party in 2023 general election, Chief Tom Ikimi, Rauf Aregbesola, one of President Tinubu’s former allies, Alhaji Sule Lamido, a former Minister of Foreign Affairs and ex-governor of Jigawa State, former Senate President, David Bonaventure Mark, former Attorney General of the Federation in former President Muhammadu Buhari government, Malam Abubakar Malami and a quite number of others.

Bwala, himself a former PDP chieftain who defected to the APC in 2023, was a critic of Tinubu, until his eventual appointment in 2024.
