Word Impact Conference: Theme: Restoration of Glory
Preacher: Pastor Mrs Toyin Oyekale
Restoration is not about you but about God.
The reason why God will do anything in your life is for his praise and glory.
Ephesians 1:12 NLT
[12] God’s purpose was that we Jews who were the first to trust in Christ would bring praise and glory to God.
Revelation 4:11 NLT
[11] “You are worthy, O Lord our God, to receive glory and honor and power. For you created all things, and they exist because you created what you pleased.”

When your life is not giving God pleasure then you are not experiencing glory.
God is the one at the centre of it all.
Whatever God gives you is not meant for your pleasure. Everything you live for must be for his glory.
Most of us want glory so we can show to others that we have arrived.
There is nothing that God cannot give us. He has all resource at his disposal.
You don’t need to bother your head about your needs. God can meet every need as long as you fix your heart and focus on the kingdom.
Matthew 10:7-10 NLT
[7] Go and announce to them that the Kingdom of Heaven is near.
[8] Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give. [9] Provide neither gold nor silver nor copper in your money belts, [10] nor bag for your journey, nor two tunics, nor sandals, nor staffs; for a worker is worthy of his food.
Resources have never been a problem for Jesus.
Luke 8:3 NKJV
[3] and Joanna the wife of Chuza, Herod’s steward, and Susanna, and many others who provided for Him from their substance.
Psalms 50:10 NKJV
[10] For every beast of the forest is Mine, And the cattle on a thousand hills.
If you trust God, he will meet your needs for his own glory.
If it is for his own glory, he is the one that will provide. God has more than enough. Whenever a need arises, he just makes a way.
God won’t answer your prayer if the objective behind it is for your glory.
You are seeking your own glory when your pursuit is for recognition and fame.
The spirit of ownership of anything should die. You don’t own anything.
God puts everything in your hands for his glory. It is not for you.
Sin robs God from showing his glory.
James 4:1-5 NKJV
[1] Where do wars and fights come from among you? Do they not come from your desires for pleasure that war in your members? [2] You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask. [3] You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures. [4] Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. [5] Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain, “The Spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously”?
Let God’s pleasure be a priority in your life.
