Kebbi Gov’t confirms terrorists’ abduction of school girls, death of Vice Principal
Kebbi State government has confirmed that terrorists in the late night on Sunday raided Government Girls Comprehensive Secondary School, GGCSS and abducted a yet-to-determined number of female students.
In a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Ahmed Idris said the incident at the GGCSS in Maga, Danko-Wasagu LGA has left panic as some students have to fled amid sporadic shooting by terrorists.
The statement further disclosed that the Vice Principal, Malam Hassan Yakubu has been hit by bullet and died instantly, while several others sustained various degree of injuries.

The CPS said the deputy governor of the state and security officials have carried out on the spot assessment with a view to coordinate prompt response.
Residents of Kebbi area urged to remain calm, even as officials have started liaising with families of abducted students, while the inured victims have been evacuated to a medical facility in Kebbi.
Meanwhile, Governor Nasir Idris has condemned the incident, describing it as a tragic assault on education and public safety.
He assured that security agencies were working around the clock to rescue the students and prevent further attacks in the area.
