Governor Umo Eno: Voice That Enlightens…….

By Hon. Otobong Aaron

“Whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are of good reports: if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things” (Philippians 4:8). A good product, indeed sells itself. His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno is a voice that enlightens, not the voice that deceives.

Nothing can top the moment than a special report of accomplishments, “l made it! It pays to serve well. Pastor Umo Eno has risen, as light, bringing unbelievers into the brotherhood of believers and leading the people in the corridor of unity devoid of ethnic lines, fostering the bond of peace and unity, the universal concern of people throughout the history of the world. Akwa lbom people in two years, have celebrated Umo Eno’s indelible impacts and triumphs in governance.

A thread of passion, perseverance, determination and the unadulterated and unmatched diversity of his achievements run through nooks and crannies of the state. As a people, we can love or hate him in our different perspectives, but we cannot deny the fact that he has touched the lives of the people to the grassroot.

He is not just an achiever but a pathfinder and a game – changer. He has a passion for what he does and possesses the willingness to take risks for the people, and exhibits the necessary resilience to face opposition.

His defection to the Progressives, APC, is simply connecting Akwa lbom State to the centre and this attracts dividends of democracy which is the earnest desire of Akwa lbom People. We should not forget that individuals compose neighbourhoods and communities, communities compose states and states compose the nation.

Hon. Otobong Aaron
Executive Chairman, Nsit Ibom Local Government Council

As one of the performing local government areas in the state, l have no alternative but to align with the centre with the sole aim of ensuring that the benefits of election which is meant for the electorate are taken to the electorate. Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria, long live Akwa lbom State and long live Nsit lbom Local Government Area.
