The Nigerian Ambassador Designate to Germany, Sen. Ita Enang has called on the All Progressives Congress to approach the court to challenge plans by the African Democracy Party(ADC) and the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) to cause upheaval in the 2027 elections.

On the position of the ADC, Enang, stated that the party knew full well that it would not be on the ballot paper since it did not have executive members at the local and state levels and hadn’t conducted congresses and convention as required by their constitution and the electoral act.

He urged APC to take ” proactive action in court to challenge what the parties are doing, and get judgment to declare these positions vacant so that after APC has election, they wont begin to cause upheaval.

“You can only file candidate through the elected chairman and elected secretary of the party.

“The people they purported to elect in Abuja convention, the delegates at that gathering did not emerge at the ward, local government, zonal and state level so they cannot file candidate.

“They know they will not file candidate and they will not be listed on the ballot paper. They are only planning to create some form of upheaval so that when INEC draws their attention to this fact they will say the election is not credible because they were excluded.

“What they are doing is to gather materials that will enable them visit the election tribunal and run to the international community to say they were excluded.”

On the eligibility of PDP Enang said, “for the different factions of PDP, I can assure you they are also looking for ways to do the same thing ADC is doing.

I heard one of the factions nominated former President Goodluck Jonathan who already served two terms and is no longer qualifed by law to contest and they know this very well.

“So having known he is not qualified why are they fielding him if not to cause upheaval.

“They are deliberately laying mines so that when APC wins there will be pressure,”he said.
