APC Convention: Agents of confusion with intention to destabilise party were denied nomination forms – Ex-Katsina Governor

Former governor of Katsina State and the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Convention Central Coordination Committee, Alhaji Aminu Masari, has disclosed that nomination and expression of interest forms were not sold to members with intention to destabilise the party.
He declared that those publicly decrying the alleged denial of nomination forms intended to destabikise the APC.

CAPITAL POST reports that the National convention of the rjling All Progressives Congress hold this weekend.
Masari stated this at a
APC World Media Briefing in Abuja, ahead of the party’s 8th National Convention scheduled for 27 to Saturday, March 28, 2026.

Members of the Committee present at the briefing are, the Minister of Arts, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa; Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Kyamo; Pius Ayim, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee; Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communication, Chief Sunday Dare; Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga; and other top party dignitaries.
He said the APC is a responsible party that has regard for zoning and the Federal Character, even as all offices have been zoned.
“People who came to buy forms for positions zoned to their zones were sold forms. But when they say zoning is in Zone A and you are in Zone B, yet you try to buy a form in Zone A, we suspect you are only there to create confusion.
“Who would want confusion? Let us understand the way our country is. The structures of the party are based on zoning, and the working committee members are also distributed according to zones.
“So, if you are contesting a position that has not been zoned to your zone, how can you claim you have been treated democratically? We suspect these kinds of people may be agents interested in destabilizing our party. “We will not agree to that, and I don’t think any responsible Nigerian will.
“So, we don’t have a problem with that. Regarding this issue, we are not aware that anybody has gone to court. We have not been served, and I am sure we are a responsible party. If we are served, we will take notice of it.”
