Bandits attacking Plateau community lives in neighbouring states – Hon. Gagdi

Member representing Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam Federal Constituency of Plateau State, Hon. Yusuf Gagdi has revealed that bandits attacking Plateau communities lives in neighbouring states.
He said, the bandits would always come and attack communities in Plateau State and retreat to their place of abode in another state.

The lawmaker stated this during a programme on Channels where he was being interviewed on Tuesday.
He said, they live in the forest and reserves in the neighbouring States from where they are coordinating their attacks.

“The forest reserve situated around the state’s boundary is the place where those bandits from Northwest and Northeast, particularly from Zamfara axis, have completely relocated to in order to carry out their attacks.
“Farmers are not allowed to farm in that area for the fact that it’s reserved. So it has become a safe haven for bandits, kidnappers and other criminals.
“So if those criminals are in the game reserve, particularly the one which is situated along Taraba boundary, they plan and coordinate attacks from there on civilians,” he said.
