Bandits release video of captured ex-General Abubakar, wife, pleading for release

For the first time since their abduction from Katsina last week, bandits have release a footage of former Military Spokesman, General Rabe Abubakar and his wife pleading for mercy.
The footage has been circulating on several social media platforms indicating that reports about their abduction by the deadly Kachalla Maha, a heartless bandits kingpin was real.

The footage showed an unknown location in the forest where they were made by their captors to plead for their release with a condition precedent that all the captured terrorists colleague in various detentions be released.
Major General Rabe Abubakar was a former Director of Defence Information at the Nigerian Defence Headquarters (DHQ), Abuja, before he retired into a private life.
He was abducted alongside his wife in the Matazu axis of Katsina State while on a journey.
Security agencies haven’t released a statement since their abduction, believing that alot was going on behind the scene.
Abductors surrounded the couple in the unknown location as the victims were made to speak under duress.
Sources within the security circle indicated that abductors have communicated what they want as they appear to be using the video as part of a negotiation strategy, with claims circulating that a notorious bandit kingpin identified as “Kachalla Maha” is involved in the ongoing talks.
The talks suggested that abductors are demanding a prisoner exchange involving some of their associates in custody in return for the freedom of the retired general and his wife.
