Amid intense accusation of broken marriage promises, Pastor Chris Okafor of Mountain of Liberation and Miracle Ministries has publicly apologized to the Nollywood Actress, Doris Ogala who claimed that the Pastor promised to marry her, but reneged when it was time.

Ogala’s outburst against the Pastor on social media followed his wedding ceremony with one of the ladies he has been dating, simply known as Pearl.

The Actress threatened legal action as she has been dragging Pastor Chris on social media, while threatening to open ‘cans of worms against the clergy.

During the Church service on Sunday after weeks of outbursts, Pastor Chris apologized to all angry ladies and singled out Doris Ogala for a special apology for disappointing her, describing the accusation as one of his mistakes of the past.

“To the lady called Doris Ogala. Listen, we’re not joining issues. Mistakes have been made in the past, and I tender an apology to everybody, but not everything that was said is true.

“Take note, everything that was said isn’t true. There are so many lies in most of the things that were said. For now, I apologise to everyone who was offended. To Doris Ogala, I’m sorry. I apologise to everyone,” he said.

Pastor Okafor added that he was willing to make amends, stating, “Once again, I’m ready to make restitution to anyone. To any lady, anywhere, that I have offended, I’m sorry.

“I’m not perfect, I’ve never been perfect… I’m kneeling before everybody and before the church, asking you to forgive me. You can judge me. Pray for me.”

Ogala Reacts

Reacting to the apology, Ogala said she had accepted it but took issue with the cleric’s assertion that her claims were fabricated.

“Chris Okafor, I forgive you, but there’s a problem. Where you said everything is a lie. I have a problem with that because I don’t lie,” she said while sharing the apology video on her Instagram page on Sunday.

The actress previously accused the pastor of being in a relationship with her for several years, allegedly beginning in 2017, and of failing to fulfill a promise to marry her.

She also claimed that the relationship contributed to the breakdown of her former marriage and caused her emotional distress after it ended abruptly.

Pastor Okafor did not directly address the specific allegations during his public apology but maintained that not all of Ms Ogala’s claims were accurate.

Despite the apology appearing to calm tensions between both parties, the episode has drawn significant public attention and debate, with reactions continuing to trail the fallout between the cleric and the actress.
