The Bwari Business Forum (BBF) has inaugurated its Media and Publicity Committee as part of efforts to strengthen the visibility of businesses in Bwari Area Council and reposition the forum ahead of its planned transition into the Bwari Chamber of Commerce.

The forum, in a statement signed by its President, Barr. Maazi Okoroigwe, announced the appointment of Rev. Chukwudi Udochukwu as Chairman of the newly constituted committee.

According to the statement, the committee is saddled with the responsibility of driving public engagement, promoting the activities of BBF and strengthening its brand reputation across Bwari Area Council, the Federal Capital Territory and beyond.

Okoroigwe said the committee would play a central role in ensuring that businesses in Bwari receive greater visibility and recognition.

“For BBF to achieve its mandate of mobilizing and promoting businesses in Bwari, we must be seen, heard, and taken seriously. The Media & Publicity Committee will be the voice of Bwari businesses,” he said.

The committee’s terms of reference include the aggressive promotion of the vision, mission and activities of the forum, as well as the publication of the BBF Newsletter to document its activities and showcase its members.

It is also expected to mobilise Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), organisations and industry players to identify with the forum.

Another key responsibility of the committee is the publication of a Bwari Business Directory and Calendar, which the forum said would serve as a resource for customers, government agencies and investors seeking information on credible businesses operating in the area.

Speaking after his appointment, Udochukwu pledged to lead what he described as a “massive, aggressive and comprehensive media campaign” to promote businesses in Bwari.

“The best product without publicity dies in silence. Our job is to sell Bwari to Bwari, sell Bwari to Abuja, and sell Bwari to investors,” he said.

Udochukwu said the forum would adopt a professional, united and solution-driven approach in promoting the business community, expressing optimism that BBF would become a reference point for business growth in Bwari.

He urged business owners across the Area Council to identify with the forum, noting that plans were already underway to compile and publish the Bwari Business Directory.

The directory, he said, would provide an official listing of credible businesses operating within the Area Council and help connect them with customers, government and potential investors.

The Bwari Business Forum is a platform for networking, advocacy and growth for MSMEs, organisations and industry players in Bwari Area Council.

The forum is currently undergoing processes for formal registration as the Bwari Chamber of Commerce.
