“My client gave his testimony, responded to questions accordingly, and has returned to his duty post,” the statement added.

The ICPC following the directive has commenced work even as the the acclaimed Director General of the agency Prince Mathew Adeyemi Adeniyi was arrested on Tuesday last week in Osun State and is facing prosecution.

As of press time, the ICPC had not issued a public statement on the outcome of Gbajabiamila’s interaction with investigators.

Meanwhile, the opposition presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar has called for suspension of Gbajabiamila from office to allow investigation into the saga.
