Ganduje commiserates with victims of Kano GSM market inferno, calls for urgent support

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has commiserated with victims of the fire disaster that ravaged the popular Farm Centre GSM Market in Kano State, displacing scores of traders and destroying valuable goods.
In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Edwin Olofu, Ganduje described the incident as a tragic blow to the livelihoods of hardworking entrepreneurs and a major setback to the economic vitality of Kano State and the nation.

“I am deeply saddened by the news of the fire that engulfed the Farm Centre GSM Market in Kano. This market is a vital hub of commerce, innovation, and youth-driven enterprise. The destruction of livelihoods, goods, and investments is truly heartbreaking,” Ganduje decried.
The APC National Chairman called on both federal and state emergency agencies to urgently investigate the cause of the inferno and provide both immediate relief and long-term rehabilitation support to affected victims.

He also appealed to public-spirited individuals, corporate bodies, and humanitarian organizations to rally around the traders and help them rebuild their businesses.
Ganduje further commended the swift intervention of emergency responders, including the Kano State Fire Service, security agencies, and volunteer groups, whose timely efforts prevented the fire from causing even greater destruction.
Reaffirming his commitment to the welfare of Kano citizens, Ganduje pledged to liaise with relevant stakeholders to devise support systems for recovery and economic restoration.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with all the victims of this unfortunate incident. May Almighty Allah (SWT) give them the strength to overcome this tragedy and grant them swift recovery and restoration,” he said.
