GCK: Kumuyi expresses hope for divine guidance for Nigerian leaders
The General Superintendent of Deeper Life Bible Church, Dr William Kumuyi, has expressed confidence that Nigeria’s leaders and policymakers will receive divine wisdom and act on messages capable of transforming the nation.
Kumuyi stated this on Wednesday upon his arrival at the domestic wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, ahead of the June 2026 edition of the Global Crusade with Kumuyi (GCK), themed “Christ’s Wonder-Working Power.”

The renowned cleric, who spoke with journalists at the airport, said the crusade would focus on transformation and collective responsibility, with thousands of participants, including government officials and policymakers, expected to attend.
Speaking on his expectations for the programme, Kumuyi expressed optimism that God would inspire leaders to embrace ideas and policies that would foster national development and improve the lives of citizens.

“Sometimes, it is not what you say that people hear, but we are trusting God to make our leaders and policymakers hear what they need to hear.
“It is not just about hearing; God will help them to act on what we are all hearing together so that we can make our nation, Africa and the world a better place to live. God can do it, and we believe He will do it,” he said.
Kumuyi noted that the Global Crusade with Kumuyi, which began as a Nigerian outreach initiative, has evolved into a worldwide evangelical movement with a presence across Africa, Asia, Europe, the Americas and Australia.
Reflecting on the impact of the crusade over the past six years, he attributed its growth and success to divine intervention rather than human effort.
“We are human beings and when we pray, we pray with faith and confidence, but we are not the ones who answer prayers. The answers come from God,” he said.
According to the evangelist, the crusade has recorded numerous testimonies, including transformed lives, restored families, healing for the sick, and rehabilitation for individuals battling drug addiction and mental health challenges.
He further emphasised that the outreach continues to expand across continents, expressing confidence that God would provide solutions to the many challenges facing nations around the world.
“We have seen lives transformed, young people redirected to the right path, people battling mental health challenges and drug addiction restored, families reunited and the sick healed.
“As I said, this is God at work. It is not a one-man show. We are planning big, aiming big and trusting God to provide solutions to the many challenges confronting the world,” he stated.
