Gunmen invades Kogi communities, kill 5
Communities of Abugi, Kuchinda and Mikugi communities in Kupa Kingdom, Lokoja Local Government Area of Kogi State, have been invaded by a yet-to-be known gunmen killing more than five persons.
It was gathered that a Fulani herder was allegedly killed and yesterday’s may be a reprisal attack.
CAPITAL POST learnt that few days ago, a vigilante operative opened fire on an unarmed fulani herder and died on suspicion of cattle hustling which turned out to be a mistake.
Reacting in a statement by the Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Fanwo, vowed that the State government would go after the pepertrators of the heinous act.
Kogi State Government has commiserated with the families of those who lost their loved ones in the attack.
