Kogi: Woman shot in confrontation with chacoal tax collectors in Kabba

Charcoal tax collectors reportedly shot a woman identified as Facilla during a confrontation in the Agbede area of Kabba Local Government Area in Kogi West Senatorial District.

Gun wielding tax collectors engaged the popular chacoal seller leading to altercation as the woman disagreed on certain issues and in the ensuing melee, she got shot.

One of the tax collectors whose name was not known immediately drew a firearm and shot her, inflicting severe injuries.

The victim was evacuated to the State medical facility for urgent attention and as at Friday, she was said to be responding to medical attention.

Zacchaeus Dare Michael, Chairman of Kabba Bunu Local Government, reacting to the incident when contacted confirmed the incident t and promised to carry out investigation.

He said, anyone found culpable in the shooting will face the full wrath of law.
