Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso who is the national leader of the New Nigeria Political Party, NNPP has recalled his contribution in the establishment of the All Progressives Congress, APC years back, saying the former President Muhammadu Buhari disappointed him on how himself and allies were treated.

He expressed his desire to rejoin the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC on the condition that the full integration of his political movement, the Kwankwasiyya is guaranteed.

According to him, any political alliance must be ready to respect the interest of his movement before he will agree to join the APC.

Kwankwaso was quoted to have stated this at a stakeholders meeting which held recently in Kano, insisting that the interest of his supporters in political negotiations was non-negotiable.

“I am willing to engage with the APC.

“My movement and its people are paramount to me, and I cannot abandon them for any political arrangement,” Kwankwaso stated.

“We were among the founding fathers of the APC and endured significant persecution from various security agencies while challenging the previous administration.

“Yet when the party assumed power, we received no recognition or appreciation for our sacrifices, simply because we didn’t originate from their original faction,” he recalled.
