Lessons in Leadership

By Kris Ekefre
These are the seeds every leader must sow. Were there’s hatred, sow love. Wehere there’s injury, pardon. Where there’s doubt, faith. Where there’s despair, hope. Where there’s darkness, light. Where there’s sadness, joy.

You will not only ascend the ladder of progress but will remain on the top of a greasy pole.
The aforementioned seeds have been sown by Dr. Godswill Akpabio, GCON, and that makes him a Beacon of Renewed Hope. A Commissioner, Governor, Minister, Senator and now the Senate President ascending.

Beacons of Hopelessness
The following Akwa lbom men have not sown the aforementioned seeds and here they are degenerating: 1. Mr. Aniekan Umanah, Commissioner of information, Member, House of Representatives, and now Commissioner of information degenerating.
2. Dr. Dan Akpan, Staff of Mobil Producing Nigeria, two terms Chairman of Nsit Ubium LGA, two terms Member of House of Assembly, Member, House of Representatives, and now a Chairman of Bulk Purchase Agency Akwa lbom State… degenerating.
3. Rt. Hon. Ignatius Edet, Speaker, State House of Assembly and now a Chairman of an Agency, degenerating.
4. Rt. Hon. Anietie Etuk ____ Speaker, State House of Assembly and now Chairman of SUBEB . . degenerating.
5. Chief Senas Ukpanah ____ Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, now Chairman of a Commission in the State… degenerating.
6. Chief Ono Etim Ono, two terms Member of House of Assembly, Commissioner, and now Chairman of UrueOffong Oruko LGA.. degenerating.
7. Mrs. Akon Eyakenyi____ Commissioner, Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator, now the Deputy Governor… degenerating.
8. Dr. Henry Archibong, two terms Member of the House of Representatives, now a Commissioner… degenerating.
Finally, Senator Effiong Bob has entirely deviated, Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice, now a political leader of Nsit Ubium LGA with his son as a Member of the State House of Assembly, better.
If you forget people on your way up, providence will always take you down the ladder of progress as shown in the few examples. Change is the right word.
