The LPPC said, it will continue to uphold ethical standards of the legal profession and practice in Nigeria.

CAPITAL POST recalled that Ozekhome is standing trial alongside the son of the former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, late Gen. Jerry Useni.

Ozekhome and Ponfa Useni were arraigned before Justice Chizoba Oji of the Federal High Court, Abuja on 12 counts of fraud and conspiracy to commit fraud over the latter’s property which is in dispute in the United Kingdom.

The senior lawyer was accused of using a fake Nigerian passport to claim a UK property belonging to the late Mr Useni, a retired lieutenant-general who once worked with General Sani Abacha, Nigeria’s late dictator.
