Residents and supporters of Hon. Sani trooped out for a peaceful protest on Saturday demanding a halt to the demolition.

Groups, associations and individuals have since been visiting the former lawmaker to show solidarity.

The Bala Ahmad Tinubu for President Ambassadors, led by Hon. Ahmad Dan Premier, described the demolition as tragic and unjust, calling on the Kaduna State Government and the All Progressives Congress leadership to intervene.

“Considering Sani Sha’aban’s contributions to the growth of our party, it is necessary for APC members across Nigeria to sympathise with him. This is one of the most serious and tragic incidents I have witnessed in my lifetime,” he said.Buy Maps

Similarly, hunters, mechanics, traders, Christian and Muslim groups who visited called on authorities to ensure the rule of law prevails.

Reacting, Sha’aban said he was dismayed that the demolition was carried out while the case was still pending in court.

“This matter is before the court, yet they took the law into their own hands. I have nothing to say other than to continue praying to Almighty God for His intervention,” he said.

He added: “As human beings, we must accept whatever God has destined for us. I am waiting for the outcome of the court proceedings.”
