Unical stops exam after student opens up on already ‘made answers’

The University of Calabar in the South South Nigeria has stopped an examination in the Department of Accounting, after an alarm was raised by a student that ‘questions were distributed with answers’.
Witness said the examiner allegedly shared question papers that carried correct answers to students.

It was said that students writing the examination were quiet and calm with the exercise progressing steadily before an alarm was raised by a female student, who said, she could no longer keep quiet before she opened up.
Immediately, the examination hall is thrown into pandemonium and the invigilators began to verify the claim.

It was confirmed that indeed answers were contained in the examination question papers.
A student who craved anonymity confirmed the mistake, saying, “it started only for us to realised that the answers were included on the same sheet as the questions.
CAPITAL POST gathered that the examination took unexpected turn almost at the end of time allocated for the paper.
As of the time of reporting, the university authorities had not issued an official statement on whether disciplinary action would be taken against the examiner or if further investigations would be conducted into the circumstances surrounding the error.
