Quoting the post, Davido replied: “Not with me alive.”

Davido’s anger might have stemmed from vexatious remark by Senator representing Osun East Senatorial District in the 10th Senate, Francis Fadahunsi

In the heat of last’s week’s election, Fadahunsi ordered APC supporters to attack and kill supporters of Accord Party.

While the member representing Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Woke Oke, a member of the All Progressives Congress, was also involved in violence.

The duo are members of the APC.

The incumbent governor and Governor-elect, Ademola Jackson Adeleke is Davido’s uncle and he campaigned heavily using his popularity and followership for his re-election.

Oke was said to have made a provocative statement after the Accord Party won last Saturday August 15, 2026 election, stating reasons the APC was yet to congratulate Governor Adeleke.

Speaking in the aftermath of the election which APC polled 444,815 votes to come second on Arise Television Monday, Qole,.who served as Director-General of the APC governorship campaign in Osun State, said the party may consider legal options.

Though, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Adeleke after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced the result, Oke insisted that the APC campaign organisation was focused on examining the electoral process.

“And like I’ve told you that what we are doing, even for future, for records, is to conduct a thorough review of the entire process and then form our opinion.

“We won’t be under any sort of pressure to easily reach out to congratulate Senator Ademola Adeleke,” Oke said.

He added: “We do not agree with the declaration of INEC. That’s our position for now. We believe he did not score the highest valid votes.”

INEC declared Adeleke, the Accord candidate, winner of the election after he secured 511,067 votes. APC candidate Bola Oyebamiji polled 444,815 votes, while the African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate, Najeem Salaam, received 17,180 votes.

The result showed that Adeleke won in 19 local government areas, while Oyebamiji secured victory in 11 councils.

Following the declaration, Adeleke said he expected a congratulatory call from Oyebamiji, describing such a move as the “civilised thing to do.”

Responding to questions on the issue, Oke maintained that the APC campaign team would first complete its assessment of the election before taking any further action.

“When you have a project of this nature with the outcome announced by INEC, we will not be in a haste, nor shall we be under pressure without doing the needful,” he said.

Oke disclosed that the party had already started reviewing election materials and directed its agents across the state to submit relevant documents for verification.

“We have embarked on an audit process. We have asked all our party agents to submit copies of Forms EC8A, B, and C to our secretariat for review. We need to inspect the materials,” Oke said.
