Alia’s Chief Press Secretary, CPC, Tersoo Kula, claimed that ex-governor Samuel Ortom used his SUV to rescue Obi after suspected thugs attacked him during a Benue visit last week.

He urged Benue people to reject the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP at the polls.

Alia insisted that Ortom’s public claims that he is working for Tinubu is a lie, stating that Ortom is working for Mr. Peter Obi.

Governor Alia made the claim at the government house in Makurdi, where he spoke through his Chief Press Secretary, Tersoo Kula.

According to Kula, Ortom quickly brought his SUV to whisk Peter Obi away from the scene of the attack by suspected thugs during his visit to Benue last week, claiming that he has pictorial evidence.

“Ortom is stealthily working for Peter Obi,” Kula said.

Alia noted that Ortom is wasting his time, stressing that he will win in 2027 general election and urge Ortom to stop a wild goose chase.

Alia knocked Ortom and said he wasted eight years as his administration recorded no achievements.

“There were no infrastructural projects; the administration witnessed no development at the local government level; salaries were not paid to civil servants as and when due; pensioners were denied entitlements.”

He claimed that Ortom wants to stage a comeback to political relevance but advised Benue people to reject PDP outrightly in the State.
