2027: Abuja High Court sacks Ondo Rep Adelegbe as APC candidate
In less than three months after the primary election, a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has reinstated Abdugani Arobo as the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC and considered him duly elected at the primary.
The Court upturned the name of member representing Owo/Ose Federal Constituency of Ondo State, Timehin Adelegbe, as the candidate of the APC whose name was earlier sent to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, had uploaded the name of Adelegbe on its portal, having been forwarded to it by the National Working Committee of APC.
The development infuriated APC stalwarts in Ondo and other stakeholders who protested against the decision, with Arobo challenging the committee’s decision at the court.
The defendants in the suit are the APC and INEC.
Justice Peter Lifu in his judgement submitted that the APC failed to make the lawful return and that the evidence of the APC was riddled with inconsistencies.
