OK movement warns it won’t succumb to intimidation, demands apology from NDC
The Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso pro-political group operating under the aegis of OK Movement has said it will not be intimidated by anyone’s threats against its operations and demanded apology from the National Chairman of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC.
Reactig in a statement on Sunday, the group urged the National Chairman of the NDC, Senator Moses Cleopas to tender apology over his statement on Saturday distancing NDC from the unveiling of 59-member campaign council for the NDC on Friday last week.

The OK Movement said, it remained independent of the NDC party organ and expected the NDC National Chsirman to have respected their independence, addingbthat they have their own leadrship structure and internal processes.
The movement’s National Secretary, Saadatu Sani, gave the warning in a statement issued in Abuja on Sunday.
The statement that they are a support group committrd to mobilising votes for Mr Petrr Obi and his Vice, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
Sani urged Cleopas to familiarise himself with the NDC constitution before making assertions about the rights and responsibilities of the movement.
She said, “The OK Movement does not engage in such politics. We will not be dragged into a politics of personal insults, intimidation or defamatory exchanges. We will continue to educate rather than abuse. We will continue to defend the principles upon which this movement was established.
“The NDC national chairman is therefore called upon to withdraw the statements considered defamatory and to tender an immediate apology to the OK Movement and to our Director General, Hon. John Ughulu.”
“We will campaign for the presidential and vice-presidential candidates of the party. We will campaign for candidates of the NDC Party across the country where the movement has resolved to support them.
“But we do not require the personal validation or approval of any individual before exercising our legitimate organisational functions,” Sani said.
CAPITAL POST reported that Senator Moses Cleopas in a statement on Saturday distanced the party from the unveiling of 59-member Campaign Council by the OK Movement.
