BREAKING: Thugs pounce on ADC campaign vehicles in Koton-Karfe LG, several party supporters injured

Suspected thugs belonging to the All Progressives Congress, APC on Saturday violently attacked campaign vehicles of the African Democratic Congress, ADC in Koton-Karfe thereby triggered tension in the town.

The attack led to several vehicles damaged with supporters of the ADC sustained various degree of injuries.

An eye witness explained that the attack took place around Gegu-Beki while the campaign team was moving through the area to various communities.

CAPITAL POST could not confirm what led to the incident, but campaign vehicles, including bus, private cars branded with ADC candidates were badly smashed with some beyond recognition.

Social media was awash with images of damaged vehicles left behind as ADC supporters scampered from the scene for their dear life.

Though, social media reports could not link thugs as loyal to APC, but investigation by CAPITAL POST Correspondent revealed that, they were thugs loyal to a Commissioner who insisted that the axis was not available for other political parties to campaign apart from APC.

Kogi State APC, ADC and the State Police Command were yet to issue a statement as at the time of filing this report.
