Details of reasons he was arrested by the DSS, CAPITAL POST learnt, was that he accused the governor of withholding LG allocations from the FAAC which he has diverted in the last two years.

The embattled LG Chairman, our correspondent learnt, went to the DSS Abeokuta office on Friday, to honour the invitation of the service as a follow-up to his earlier visit on Thursday which the service asked him to return on Friday, before his detention.

One of the Chairman’s aides confirmed in Abeokuta, saying, “yes, my boss has been detained by the DSS and he may likely spend his weekend in their facility.”

“We got here together and I took his phone and stood outside, since then he has not been allowed to come out.
“After he got into the place, the governor also came into the DSS office and left after over 30 minutes. Only God knows what is happening to my boss right now, please help us. This is 8:34 pm and he has still not been allowed to come out.”
