‘Kill Accord Party Members’ in Osun: Senator Fadahunsi gets bail
The Criminal Investigation Department, CID of the Nigeria Police Command, Oshogbo, capital of Osun State has granted Senator Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi bail after interrogation.
He was summoned for interrogation by the Police, following his remark considered inflammatory and incitive amid political tensions in Osun State ahead of governorship elections on Saturday 15th August.
Senator Fadahunsi, who represents Osun East Senatorial District directed supporters of All Progressives Congress, APC, to kill supporters of Accord Party in Ilesha before Saturday’s polls.

In a video shared on X on Tuesday, the APC senator, who spoke in Yoruba, asked supporters to kill members of the Accord Party.
The remark attracted serious backlash, and in his quick deaction, he claimed that “kill Accord Party with your votes”, was what he meant, noting that his remark was misinterpreted.
The embattled lawmaker was summoned to appear at 11.00qm, but eye witness said he arrived at the CID at 2.00pm in company of some APC supporters for interrogation.
After interrogation which also wrote a cautionary undertaking, he was bailed and was seen entering his black Jeep packed in the premises before driving out.
His bail was confirmed by the Spokesman of the Osun state police, Abiodun Ojelabi in Osogbo on Tuesday.
The Police mouthpiece said, the suspect got administrative bail.
“Yes, the senator has been granted administrative bail. But the case still continues,” Ojelabi said.
