Missing N210 trillion: Ex-NNPCL GMD Mele Kyari must appear before Senate Committee dead or alive
Following the former Group Managing Director of the Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited, Mele Kyari’s repeated snub of the Senate Committee on Public Accounts to face investigation on the missing N210 trilion, the Committee has insisted on his appearance dead or alive.
Engr. Mele Kyari is the immediate past Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the NNPCL under whom the controversial amount was missing.

The investigation stemmed from the report of the Auditor General of the Federation detailing how the N210 trillion developed wings and flew away from the account of the Company.
As his absence became a source of concern to Senators having met for nine times in attempt to investigate Kyari, Senator Victor Umeh moved that a warrant of arrest be issued to Mele Kyari.
Senator Tony Nwoye disclosed that he spoke with Kyari and he is currently in a hospital in Germany. His submission didn’t however go down well as Senator Kenneth Eze from Ebonyi State interjected and wondered if his colleague, Senator Tony Nwoye is now a legal Adviser to Kyari.
In his ruling, Chairman of the Committee, Senator Ibrahim Dankwambo upheld the warrant of arrest on Mele Kyari.
He promised to forward the resolution to the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio for execution.
