NBA President hails Dangote Group IPO, says it will boost investor confidence
The President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Oyinkansola Badejo-Okusanya, has described the Dangote Group’s Initial Public Offering (IPO) as a significant milestone for Nigeria’s capital market and a boost to investor confidence in the economy.
Badejo-Okusanya, in a congratulatory message, commended the Dangote Group for its sustained contribution to Nigeria’s economic development through investments, enterprise, job creation and expansion of productive capacity across key sectors.

She said the success of businesses that commit to long-term investments was essential to building a stronger, more resilient and competitive Nigerian economy.
“Nigeria’s economic transformation will not be driven by government alone. It requires businesses willing to invest, innovate, create jobs and build for the future. Our role as lawyers is to help create and sustain the legal and institutional environment in which such enterprises can thrive”, she said.
The NBA President reaffirmed the Association’s commitment to promoting the rule of law and an enabling business environment capable of attracting legitimate investments, strengthening regulatory confidence and protecting commercial interests.
According to her, lawyers have a critical role to play in facilitating economic growth by providing sound legal frameworks, ensuring regulatory compliance and creating the certainty and confidence required by businesses and investors.
She further congratulated the management, employees, investors and other stakeholders of the Dangote Group, wishing the company continued success in its contribution to Nigeria’s industrialisation and economic development.
