The Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, a political Party, which Peter Obi is contesting the 2027 presidential election with Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso as Deputy has rejected the 59-member Campaign Council put together by the ‘Obi Kwankwaso Movement’.
Popularly called ‘OK’, is a support group committed to the political interest of Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.

Obi hails from Anambra State in the South East Nigeria, while vice Presidential candidate, Musa Kwankwaso hails from Kano in the North West, Nigeria.
The MDC.leadership was reacting to the 59-member Campaign Council, which the OK Movement unveiled on Thursday in Abuja
The Campaign Council comprise zonal and state coordinators, as well as directors overseeing mobilisation, women’s affairs, strategy, security, legal affairs, and other areas.
Meanwhile, the National Chairman of the NDC, Cleopas Moses in a statement on Saturday, urged party members and supporters not to give regard to the list, stating that it did not emanate from the party.
“The party hereby dissociates itself in totality from the said OK Movement PCC announcement. It did not emanate from the party and should be disregarded by the public and the media,” he said.
Moses insisted that only the party organ could assemble Campaign Council, urging candidates across boards to subject themselves to the leadership of the party.
“All candidates of the party must appreciate that they are not running as independent candidates.
“They are products of the party and remain subject to the authority and discipline of the party.
“Therefore, only the party’s leadership can constitute and announce a Presidential Campaign Council,” he said.
The NDC leadership banned support group or groups from constituting campaign council.
