Rescue of 179 Kwara abductees, Northern Senators commend Tinubu, security agents
The Chairman of Northern Senators Forum, Senator Abdulaziz Yar’adua has commended the Federal Government and the people of Kwara overnthe safe release of all abductees after months in captivity.
In a statement on Thursday, Yar’adua said the forum comm3nds professiknalism of Security agents, leading to safe release of all abductees without casualty onbthe side of the victims.

The statement read: “The Chairman of the Northern Senators Forum, on behalf of all Senators from the 19 Northern States and the FCT, wishes to congratulate the government and good people of Kwara State, particularly the people of Woro Community, over the safe release of victims of the recent kidnapping incident.
“We commend the gallantry, professionalism, and joint collaboration of our security agencies — the Nigeria Police Force, Department of State Services, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Nigerian Army, and local vigilantes — whose coordinated efforts led to the successful rescue operation.
“This achievement reflects what is possible when our security architecture works in synergy with timely intelligence from the community.
“We also acknowledge and appreciate the leadership and support of Mr. President for providing the necessary political will and resources to enable our security forces to win this fight against criminality.
“The swift intervention at the federal level was critical to securing the release of the abducted persons unharmed.
“While we celebrate this victory, our hearts go out to the families of those who lost their lives during the incident. We pray to Almighty Allah and God to grant them eternal rest and give their families the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss. The Forum urges both the Federal and Kwara State Governments to provide adequate support to the bereaved families.
“We call on citizens to continue to support our security forces with credible information, as community partnership remains key to defeating insecurity.”
