The family of the late actress Temitope Osoba has expressed disappointment over falsehood surrounding the death of Temitope Osoba, stating that the public should disregard unverified reports on some online platforms.

CAPITAL POST reports that the late actress colleague, Alesh Sanni on her Instagram on Wednesday, published her demise from where some online platforms took over from there.

The family in a statement declared it unauthorized, reports of circumstances that led to her death, urging the media to refrain as such misinformation only deepen the family woes.

“At this difficult time, we wish to categorically state that the numerous claims circulating on social media and various blogs regarding the circumstances surrounding her death are false, speculative, and entirely unauthorised,” the statement read.

The family pleaded that they should be allowed to mourn the demise of the actress and respect her privacy.

“We respectfully urge the public to refrain from sharing or promoting misinformation that only adds to the pain our family is already enduring”, adding that any information meant for the public would be released officially.

The family also expressed gratitude to Nigerians for the prayers, love and support shown during the difficult period.

“We sincerely appreciate the prayers, love, and support that have been extended to our family during this heartbreaking time. Thank you for respecting her memory and our family’s privacy,” the statement concluded.
