Supreme Court Judgement: Shehu Sani advises affected candidates to stop wasting time, resources
Civil rights activist and former Senator representing Kaduna Central Senatorial Distrct, Shehu Sani has offered a piece of advice to candidates of political parties who were affected by the Supreme Court judgement not to waste their time and resources campaigning ahead of 2027 general election.
This was contained in his verified X post on Wednesday, suggesting that the Judgement of the apex Court would render candidates whose names were not in their respective party register forwarded to the Independent National Electoral Commission, before expiration of 21 statutory days.

Sani ssid supporters of the affected candidates would continu to beat drums of support and praise them to sustain what they will benefit, but at the end, Court will remove them.
He wrote: “If you are one of those candidates affected by the September Supreme Court ruling; you shouldn’t waste your time and resources.
“Your Supporters will continue to beat the drums for you to stay in the race but you are heading to nowhere.
Sani who is a current candidate of the ruling All Progresives Congress for Kaduna Central in the 2027 general election recalled experiences hard fact of failing election. He stressed that he has experienced .osing and winning elections as an active politician.
“We have the experience of losing and winning elections, not as analysts or commentators but as active, frontline participants; so we know both sides very well.”
CAPITAL POST recalled that the Supreme Court has affirmed judgement in favour of the Zenith Labour Party seeking interpretation on Section 77 of the amended Electoral Act with regards to names of members of political parties expected to be forwarded to the INEC within 21 days before primary elections.
