Gov’t presence around DG fake agency misled me to pay N400 million for contract – Contractor tells Rep Committee
An Ogbomosho businessman, Gbenga Collins who claimed to be familiar with the embattled fake agency Director-General, Adeyemi Adeniyi, told the House of Representatives, investigating the fake Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council, PFIPC, that government presence around the Director General misled him into payment of N400 million for contract.
Collins, who is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Divine Dopacy Nigeria Limited, told the Committe that Prince Adeyemi Adeniyi promised him that his company would renovate and furnish the PFIPC DG’s official residence.

According to 5he businessman, his familiarity with Prince Adeniyi before now and even as an indigene of Ogbomosho
coupled with the appearances of government authority around him, misled him to believing that the purported council was legitimate.
He said, Prince Adeniyi invited him to Abuja for the first time and wh3n he arrived at the Airport, he sent an official car to pick him to his office at the Federal Secretariat, Abuja.
“When I got to his office, I met him there. He is a well-known man in Ogbomoso. I met a lot of people, very big dignitaries in his office, and I met a group of security officers guarding the office,” he said.
He said Adeyemi presented himself to him as the Director-General of both the Presidential Economic Advisory Council (PEAC), and the Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council (PFIPC).
“I saw police officers with him. That was my first time of coming to Abuja because I’m not familiar with Abuja very well.
“He sent his official car to pick me from the airport. It had a Federal Government registration number attached to the Lexus SUV,” he said.
