NELFUND pays N49.1 million loan to 480 of Bayero University Kano
The Nigerian Education Loan Fund, NELFUND has disbursed the sum of N49.101 million institutional fund to students of Bayero University Kano in the North East Nigeria under the 2025/2026 academic session.
The University’s Registrar, Haruna Aliyu confirmed this in a letter dated August 10, 2026 which was addressed to the Managing Director of NELFUND, Mr. Akintunde Sawyerr.
The letter, titled “Letter of Acknowledgement for the Receipts of Institutional Fees: 3rd Batch 2026,” stated that the university received the third batch of the NELFUND institutional fee payment on July 22, 2026.

N49,101,000, covering 480 BUK undergraduates paid for in the school .
The Management of the BUK expressed delight after acknowledging the receipt of the fund.
The development highlights the role of NELFUND’s institutional fee component in supporting eligible students by providing funding for their approved educational costs.
