PDP lauds Reps Agbedi’s emergence as Minority leader
The opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has lauded the emergence of Rt. Hon. Frederick Agbedi as the Minority leader of the House of Representatives.
The party said, Agbedi emerged as a result of ‘earned trust’ and confidence in his leadership.

The reaction of PDP followed the announcement of the Rt. Hon. Frederick Agbediby the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, during plenary on Thursday.
In a statement by the National Chairman of PDP, Kabiru Turaki, SAN, hailed the Bayelsa lawmaker’s rise and described Agbedi as “a trustworthy, firm, irrepressible and principled politician, who responds only to conviction, not convenience.”
The statement signed by the PDP’s Interim National Working Committee’s Publicity Secretary, Comrade Ini Ememobong Essien, quoted Turaki as saying the emergence of Agbedi was “a mark of earned trust and deep confidence in his leadership abilities.” The party urged the new leader to continue to be firm and be principled in the handling of opposition issues.
Rt. Hon. Agbedi represents Sagbama/Ekeremor Federal Constituency of Bayelsa State.
Before this elevation, he served as Leader of the PDP Caucus in the House of Representatives.
He was also a former PDP state chairman in Bayelsa.
