BREAKING: Retired General Rabe dies in bandits’ captivity
Former Military Spokesperson in the Defence Headquarters, Major General Rabe Abubakar, rtd, is dead. He died in captivity of the bandits in Katsina in the North Western Nigeria.
The death of the abducted ex-Military officer was confirmed in a statement by Katsina State Government on Saturday which was made available Media Houses.
Abubakar died in captivity of his abductors days after he was kidnapped and taken to the forest alongside his wife, Hajia Amina.
Katsina State Government described his death as tragic not just to his immediate families, but to the entire Katsina State and Nigeria at large.
The statement signed by the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Dr Nasiru Mu’azu, indicated that he died of complications
arising from diabetes and hypertension in captivity.
