BREAKING: Sowore reportedly kidnapped by armed thugs, whereabouts unknown
Human Rights Activist and the presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, Comrade Omoleye Sowore has been reportedly kidnapped by armed thugs with his whereabouts unknown immediately.
His abduction was posted on his official Facebook wall on Friday.
Sowore encountered political thugs in Ado-Ekiti, South Western Nigeria earlier on Friday.
He personally posted the assault on him at a restaurant on Friday, saying the attackers pounced on him inside a restaurant where he probably went to eat.
“Thugs just attacked us inside a restaurant in Ado Ekiti,” the activist wrote.
The incident has not been verified by the Police in Ondo yet, but tensions were gradually building up amid heightened political activities.
CAPITAL POST recalled that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the deployment of Police and other security agents to guard all presidential candidates irrespective of their political background.
