BREAKING: N805 million fraud: Delta Senator, Nwaoboshi rearrested in hospital, sent to prison
Senator Peter Nwaoboshi representing Delta North Senatorial District, has been rearrested in an undisclosed hospital in Lagos and was immediately sent to prison after he went underground for eight months pretending to be sick.
CAPITAL POST recalled that the lawmaker who is the Senate Committee Chairman on Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC was sentenced to seven years imprisonment by the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division for embezzlement and money laundering to the tune of N805 million.
He was rearrested by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC and was proceeded to immediately to Ikoyi Custodial Centre on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, to serve his prison terms.
