Establishment of Nigerian Coast Guard: TRUTH REQUIRES NO TRANSLATION – PC-NCG

The Provisionary Committee of the proposed Nigerian Coast Guard, PC-NCG, is liable to inform relevant authorities and the public that truth requires no translation, regarding the facilitation team as the true face behind the process of establishing the Agency. PC-NCG is the dedicated group, operating on the guiding principles of agency, for purpose of achieving its enactment. PC-NCG did not displace any group of persons before it commenced its provisional operation, under clear conviction, vision and mission.

PC-NCG concern has nothing to with falsehood and defrauding innocent job seekers on the pretext of employment, military training and cajoling gimmicks, but, genuinely committed to achieving the operational existence of Coast Guard.

The public is invited to note that PC-NCG diligently placed this honest subject-matter before appropriate authorities for affirmative attention, valid acceptance and advantageous action. To that effect, it successfully generated commensurate awareness and the envisaged support for the creation of the Agency. PC-NCG achieved this degree of enthusiastic breakthrough through divine unction, selfless service and patriotic zeal in line with the existing laws, due process and valued principles. That success story made other groups to drop their factional-name and took to the name of Nigerian Coast Guard, albeit, invalidly. That improper action designates, them as parasitic Impersonators carrying out illegal recruitment, unauthorized military training, decoration of their victims with unmerited ranks, parading themselves on supposed Coast Guard uniform with trail of ills and propaganda.

In a more specific and reverent assertions, PC-NCG action is in good faith, fidelity, laid down principles and national interest, through which it successfully reached out to governmental authorities, concerned agencies, over 132 Maritime Groups and fostered a unified front and support base for creation of Coast Guard.

It is important to inform the public that based on our provisional operation, PC- NCG was invited by Force Intelligence Bureau (FIB) on 21st August 2022. After thorough inquisition, they concluded and confirmed that our statutory purpose, operational limit, program of action, code of conduct, provisional duties and related activities are within the ambit of the law and traditional practice.

In similar fashion, the DLD of the Federal Ministry of Justice invited PC-NCG; where we presented a comprehensive profile of the proposed agency and backed-up with the nitty-gritty of our operational status. At the end of the scrutiny we were declared spotless. These are a few out of many.

One important thing we know is that name is a mirror and a classified identity. As such, PC-NCG will not let emotions dictate prevailing protocols. Thus, we present truth without hate. We maintain a strong character which protects better than power and privilege put together.

The public is further informed that those who threw-away their factional-group-name, and going about sowing seeds of divisiveness while claiming to be initiators of Nigerian Coast Guard were the very persons who petitioned against Nigerian Coast Guard Establishment Bill SB. 844 of 2021. Again, they were the very ones that filed a lawsuit against the separation of Nigerian Coast Guard from Merchant Navy.

Flatly, they lost their petition and lawsuit on 20th March 2024. These sneakily styled businessmen and immediate economic package seekers are still the ones using Nigerian Coast Guard name to collect various sums of money from people for enrolment into the yet to be established Agency. In their desperation, they have made the supposed Coast Guard uniform a daily costume.

Another incredulous fact about these money-hunting-vendors, is that, they were invited by Force Intelligence Bureau (FIB) and the Ministry which they claim gave them approval to mobilize, recruit and train personnel for Nigerian Coast Guard, but, refused to honour the two invitations. Instead, they pick quarrel with the invitation letters and remained neck-deep in their unlawful acts.

Truth does not die and the heap of evidence available on this matter, reveals that PC-NCG is the group that is behind the facilitation of the creation of Coast Guard. Those wearing garment of deceit in the name of Nigerian Coast Guard and junketing from pillar to pole are impostors. They have, at every point, refused to do the needful, and if left unchecked, are capable of selling the country piece by piece at any slightest opportunity. PC-NCG brings this information of their misconduct, impersonation and calling evil good, to the knowledge of the public.

There is only one country called Nigeria, only one National Assembly, only one Coast Guard Bill and only one formidable Facilitation Team, which interested persons can join and abide by the limit of its duty and Code of Conduct.
