The Eyewitness Network (EWN) has received formal recognition from the National Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as an accredited support group of the party, following the issuance of a letter of recognition and certificate of registration.

The recognition letter and certificate were formally received on Friday October 30, 2026, in Abuja by the National Director of Eyewitness Network, Exlibris Christopher Ekefre. We consider this recognition a dream come true and a significant milestone in the growth and political relevance of our organisation. The certificate has formally positioned Eyewitness Network within the APC support group structure and provides an enhanced platform for our participation in the activities of the party.

With our expanding national presence and established structures across 34 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory, making a total of 35 states and the FCT, Eyewitness Network is strategically positioned to contribute meaningfully to the political activities and electoral objectives of the APC.

In a statement made available to CAPITAL POST in Abuja on Saturday by the National Secretary of the organisation,
Saviour Ekpe, said their structures cut across States and Local Governments across the country.

The statement reads: “Our structures, which extend across state, local government and ward levels, with some units already operational, constitute a formidable grassroots mobilisation network. We are committed to strengthening, energising and fully activating these structures to ensure effective participation in the political process.

“As an organisation, we are fully prepared to mobilise massive grassroots support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027. We shall empower our members across the country and equip them for effective voter engagement through direct community interactions, house-to-house campaigns and sustained grassroots mobilisation.

“Our mobilisation strategy will encompass decided voters, undecided voters and those who are yet to make up their minds about their political choices. We intend to take the achievements, policies and programmes of the Tinubu administration directly to the people, engage them constructively and persuade more Nigerians to support the President’s second-term ambition.

“We acknowledge the remarkable efforts and achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in repositioning Nigeria, particularly his commitment to institutional reforms, national development and the search for sustainable solutions to the country’s challenges.

“We are particularly encouraged by the proposed regional government framework and the anticipated constitutional reforms towards granting states greater powers and responsibilities, especially in the area of security through the establishment of state police.

“We believe that a decentralised security architecture, with states taking greater responsibility for the protection of lives and property within their respective jurisdictions, will significantly strengthen the country’s capacity to address insecurity. When fully implemented, these reforms will provide states with the necessary institutional and operational capacity to respond more effectively to security challenges.

“We therefore call on Nigerians at home and in the diaspora to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his administration’s efforts towards national transformation, security, economic development and institutional reforms.

“The recognition by the APC National Secretariat further strengthens our resolve to expand our national mobilisation efforts, consolidate our structures and contribute meaningfully to the party’s activities.

“We assure the APC leadership of our unwavering commitment to the responsibilities associated with this recognition. Eyewitness Network is ready to deploy its nationwide structures, human resources and grassroots networks towards mobilising support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.

“This recognition is not just a certificate; it is a call to greater responsibility, commitment and service.”
