Abducted Ngoshe 416: Borno youth leader Kaigama claims N1.9 billion out of 5 billion ransom get to terrorists, raises concerns
The Borno State Youth leader, and the president of the Borno South Youth Alliance (BOSYA), and a prominent figure, Samaila Ibrahim Kaigama has alleged that the sum of N5 billion was released for the release of 416 Ngoshe residents by terrorists, but only N1.9 billion got to them.
In a ‘no hold back’ media interview with Channels Television on Thursday in Abuja, the youth leader claimed to have received a call from terrorists, confirming receipt of N1.9 billion out of N5 billion released as ransom, thus raising suspicion against the go-between which Senator Ali Ndume was fingered.

Kaigama claimed a major role in the mediated release of 416 abducted women and children from Ngoshe, dismissing official military rescue claims.
He also alleged that multi-billion-naira ransoms intended for captives were mishandled or shortchanged.
In what was supposed to be kept secret, Kaigama laid bare the underhand dealings, saying:
“Later terrorists called me and said they only collect N1.9 billion out of N5 billion ransom released. Where is the remaining N3.1 billion? Who is the mediator?
“They said it was Senator Ali Ndume. Where are the monies? I have been speaking about this for a long time.
He claimed to have drawn the attention of the DSS to this, but the organisation seems to have developed a cold feet.
He continued: “You dont see the Department of State Services, DSS bringing this people and say let’s investigate, let’s put these facts together.
“At a specific time, I tried reaching Nuhu Ribadu in every aspect, I called him, he sees my number, and didn’t pick my calls.
“At a point when the conversation started I got his number through the same Senator Ali Ndume. When the mediation was complete and money was about to be paid, the conversation just cut all of a sudden.”
Senator Ali Ndume represents Borno South Senatorial District in the 10th National Assembly.
