2027: ADC will produce a consensus presidential candidate – Bolaji Abdullahi
The National Publicity Secretary of the African Democratic Congress, Bolaji Abdullahi said, the party will produce a consensus presidential candidate in 2027 to contest general election.
He said, the approach is the most practical and cost-effective option available to the party which is good for the opposition.
Abdullahi hinted this during his appearance on Arise Television’s One-on-One programme on Saturday, revealing that the APC has narrowed its candidates selection to consensus and direct primaries in line with the recent electoral act amendment.
“We are trying as much as possible to adopt the consensus approach because that is the least costly for us.
“For us, the best case scenario is to be able to engineer consensus and that’s what we are working on,” he said.
