2027: Nasarawa governor takes consensus candidate Wadada to Tinubu
Nasarawa State governor Abdullahi Sule has taken Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as his choice of replacement.
Sule will end his second term of office by 2027.
Senator Aliyu Wadada was elected to the 10th National Assembly on the platform of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, but defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC ahead of 2027.
Sule said Senator Wadada was chosen as a consensus governorship candidate for the 2027 election.
The trio met at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja on Friday.
CAPITAL POST recalled that Governor Sule at a political meeting with his appointees at the Government House, Lafia unveiled, unveiled Wadada as hus preferred successor.
Wada represents Nasarawa West Senatorial District and he is the Chairman of Senate Committee on Public Accounts.
