APC Chairmanship aspirant promises transformation in Bwari Area Council

A chairmanship aspirant for Bwari Area Council under the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Haruna Shekwolo, has vowed to usher in a new era of development and transformation if elected in the forthcoming council elections in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Shekwolo made the promise shortly after submitting his Nomination and Expression of Interest forms at the APC national secretariat on Wednesday in Abuja.

Speaking to journalists, the chairmanship hopeful emphasized that his ambition is driven by a desire to serve and uplift the lives of residents in the council, not for personal gain.
“I am into this contest because I want to impact the lives of our people. I’m into this contest because I want to bring progress to our people. I’m into this contest because I want to bring the dividends of democracy to our people.

“I am into this contest because I know there is a need for a new era in Bwari Area Council, and I want to assure each and every one of you that, by the special grace of God, if it pleases God to make me chairman of Bwari Area Council, Bwari will see a dramatic transformation” Shekwolo said.
Shekwolo highlighted key areas his administration would prioritize, including education, water supply, infrastructure, and security.
“Quality education is one of our priorities, provision of potable water is one of our priorities, and giving our people social amenities such as roads and electricity is one of our priorities. We desire that God will give us the ability to bring these closer to our people,” he stated.
On security, Shekwolo, who described himself as a security personnel and a custodian of peace in his community, promised significant improvements if elected.
“Security is paramount to every citizen in this country. I want you to know that I am a security personnel myself. I am the custodian of peace in my community. If I am the chairman, there will be a dramatic change in terms of security,” he added.
Shekwolo is among several aspirants seeking to clinch the APC ticket ahead of the FCT area council elections.
