Senator representing Cross River North, Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe, has announced a high-level “Meet the People” tour across the five local government areas of the district, in a move aimed at strengthening ties with constituents and consolidating his political base ahead of the 2027 political cycle.

The tour, scheduled to commence on Thursday, March 19, 2026, follows what his team described as a “robust and engaging rally” recently held in Abuja, as well as preparations for a planned one-million-man gathering at the senatorial headquarters in Ogoja Local Government Area.

According to a statement issued on Tuesday in Abuja by Team Jari Media, the engagement will serve as a platform for direct interaction between the lawmaker and critical stakeholders across the district.

The statement noted that participation in the tour is targeted at key actors whose influence shapes the political and social dynamics of the area, including All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders, party executives at both chapter and ward levels, as well as traditional rulers.

The itinerary shows that the Senator and his team will visit Obanliku, Obudu, and Bekwarra local government areas on Thursday, while Ogoja will host the delegation on Friday. The tour will conclude in Yala Local Government Area on Saturday.

Beyond political mobilisation, the initiative is being positioned as a consultative mission designed to promote inclusive governance and facilitate on-the-spot needs assessment across communities.

“Join Distinguished Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe as he engages with constituents, listens to their concerns, and shares his plans for the development of Cross River North,” the statement said.

The tour is expected to provide a platform for articulating community needs, particularly in areas such as infrastructure and social welfare, while aligning the Senator’s legislative priorities with grassroots expectations.
