Kaduna ADC chieftain warns El-Rufai against destabilising party ahead of 2027

A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, in Kaduna State, Ahmed Mustapha has warned the former governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir El-Rufai against destabilising the party ahead of 2027 general election because of his selfish interest.
He told El-Rufai to desist from any form of attempt to infiltrate and highjack the leadership of the party, saying they were all aware of his antics.

He accused of subversively aligning with some untrusted and untested elements by adopting them as leaders without due process.
“El-Rufai was adopting “subversive alliances” and “illegitimate political manoeuvres” since joining the party.

“Let it be clearly understood that the Kaduna State Chapter of the ADC will not be a willing tool in the hands of any individual, nor will we be beholden to interests that seek to undermine our collective vision,” Mustapha stated.
Mustapha condemned El-Rufai’s move with some Social Democratic Party members to factionalise the ADC colation in Kaduna State.
While noting the ADC was open to every Nigerian, the party chieftain said the destructive tendencies of the old parties that have stalled Nigeria’s progress would not be tolerated.
“We call on Nasir El-Rufai to respect the democratic ideals of our party, allow due process to prevail, and cease all disruptive activities,” Mustapha said.
